In this class we will explore the essentials of acting. We will work mainly with pieces inspired by Scripture, giving students the opportunity to learn more about the Bible through performance.

“You are the SALT of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people. You are the LIGHT of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Growing up as a follower of Christ, I saw so many Christian movies and plays that didn’t really represent who Jesus Christ is and what it’s like to follow Him. I also grew up in the theatre, where professing your belief in Christ is not received very well. I wanted a safe space where students of art could also be students of Jesus. LIGHTLY SALTED WORKS is that space. Now believers can strengthen their art and their relationship with God, in order to be the LIGHT and SALT in this dark and bland world.
